Performance Art with Cesare Pietroiusti
On December 6, a public\performance artist Cesare Pietroiusti came to do a Public Art workshop with us. As a group we created a sort of public art experiement. After much group discussion we decided to take a tour of the Rovereto fountains and do a "water tasting" playing with the idea of wine tasting. My role included acting a a guide (guida...guide...ha ha) and translating for the group in English (as a sort of way to attract attention). We visted three fountains and played off the idea that each fountain produced a particular tasting water. We did attract the attention of a particularly cute old man who wondered what the heck we were doing...and we continued to play the role as "water experts." The experiment was exactly that...it lacked several aspects that would make it "art," but we had fun and managed to escape from the bunker classroom for a couple hours.
