Kim and Lisa's amazing adventures
Hellooo all,

happy halloween! well, my friend Kim, who is from Chicago but that I met in Italy and who currently lives in london...long breath...came to visit me for a week and we had a great time. First we explored bolzano and the amazing unique cuisine. Kim fell in love with canederli, these sort of large dumplings filled with cheese, bread crumbs, butter, spinach, eggs, and other various things that are really good for your cholesterol. i am personally a fan of the many breads that have fennel inside and of course.....wurstel, bratwurst, weis wurstel, sausage, and all of that goodness! by th way, did you know that in south tyrol they eat crepes with jam inside for DINNER! yes! let's just say i have easily gained back the weight i lost during my month long tonsillitis episode! kim and i were both big fans of the local beer as well. mmmm. beeeer.

one day we took the cable car up the mountain to renon (ritton). gorgeous. there were horses who wanted to be pet, cows with bells on, sheep being sheared, not to mention all the apple and chestnut goodness!

one day we went to merano. an enchanting town nearby with their famous new thermal baths and saunas. that was a relaxing, detoxing day.

as i finished the details for the press conference for the project i am working on called manifesta 7 (see www.manifesta.org) kim visited verona and trento and then we head to venice for two days to visit my friend davide. venice is always great.

now things are back to "normal" and i must study and write my thesis as the deadline quickly approaches!!!

enjoying the last few days of autumn colors and leaves! ich liebe südtirol. yes they are brainwashing me.

kisses!
lisa
